We are looking forward to a memorable gathering in Chattanooga this Spring; based on the inquiries that have been received, we anticipate 225+ attendees. 115 rooms have been reserved.
Chattanooga is a mid-sized city of approximately 160,000 people. The downtown area has been revitalized in recent years.
A few of the attractions include the world class Tennessee Aquarium, an eight mile river walk, a ˝ mile pedestrian bridge over the Tennessee River, museums, shopping opportunities, and fine restaurants. |
There is a free downtown shuttle leaving from the Choo-Choo Hotel every few minutes.
Air service is provided by Allegiant, American Eagle, Continental, Delta Connection, Northwest, Skybus, and US Airways. There are direct flights to CHA from Dallas (American Eagle), Columbus, OH (Skybus), Cincinnati (Delta Connection), Charlotte (US Air), Memphis (NW), D.C. (Delta Connection), Chicago (American Eagle), ATL (Delta Connection), and Houston (Continental). Allegiant serves most major Florida airports. |

Thursday, 15 May
Registration and Hospitality begins at noon. Evening on your own.
Friday, 16 May
9:00 – 11:30 Tour Civil War battlefields via Coach Lines $20 per person
13:30 – 16:00 Tour Lookout Mountain and Rock City (website: www.seerockcity.com) $25 per person. There is a “VIP trail” for people with walking problems. “On your own visits to the Aquarium, IMAX, Incline Railway, Riverwalk and pedestrian bridge.
18:30 Buffet dinner at the hotel with a variety of entrees.
21:00 Conversations in the hospitality room. |
Saturday, 17 May
9:00 – 11:30 Repeat tour to Civil War battlefields. $20 per person
13:30 – 16:00 Repeat tour to Lookout Mountain and Rock City. $25 per person
18:30 Sit down dinner decked out in your finest. Please indicate your choice of entree on the registration form.

Sunday, 18 May
Breakfast on your own at the hotel and then depart or remain for a few more days. The hotel has breakfast buffets every day. Special rates are given for hotel guests. |

The repeat tours on Friday and Saturday are scheduled to accommodate all attendees without creating long lines and delays. The repeat tours may be adjusted based on demand. Please indicate your preferred tour day on the Registration.
It is suggested that you schedule only one group |
tour per day so that you can also visit downtown attractions such as the Aquarium, a Riverboat lunch cruise, the IMAX, or just walk along the river and visit some of the local parks and museums.
There are many fine restaurants and sandwich shops downtown. |
The Choo-Choo Hotel (Holiday Inn) is located on a 24-acre site of the former railroad depot. There are three major buildings available to houseguests. Every effort will be made to provide rooms for the reunion attendees in buildings 100 and 200.
The hotel registration desk is in the former railway station house. This is several hundred feet from the hotel rooms – so, do not download the bags before you register. A short drive or shuttle service to buildings 100 and 200 will be necessary.

I-75 South from Knoxville, TN or I-75 North from Atlanta:
Merge onto I-24 West to downtown Chattanooga. After approximately 5 miles, merge onto US Highway 27N. Take Exit 178 (Market Street North). At the 3rd traffic light, turn right into the hotel complex.
I-24 East from Birmingham, AL or Nashville, TN:
Merge onto US Highway 27 North to downtown |
Chattanooga. (US 27 looks like, smells like, and feels like an Interstate highway) Take Exit number 1 on the right. Turn left onto Main Street. Proceed to the 3rd traffic light (at Market Street). Turn left on Market Street and proceed to the 1st light. Turn right into hotel complex.
If you miss the designated exit from either direction, continue to one of the Highway 27 exits and proceed to Market Street and turn south (right) to the hotel at 1400 Market Street. |
